Travel plans are developed to promote sustainable travel behaviour. They are tailored to the specifics of a site, with measures typically aimed at:
Estimating the effects of particular measures on site transport accessibility is relatively straightforward to quantify. However, estimating the effects on transport performance is a complex process and, in many cases, a detailed multi-modal modelling analysis is not cost effective. In these cases, we use our extensive experience to identify locational stereotypes, similar sites and rules of thumb to estimate likely changes to transit’s market potential.
We have a thorough understanding of policy and conduct thorough liaison with authorities during the preparation of a plan to ensure that measures have the best chance of realization.
