Oxfam Trail Walker

Eight Halcrow MWT staff recently embarked on the journey that would change their lives… the Oxfam Australia Trailwalker 2006. The aim was raise $10,000 for Oxfam Australia by each walking 100km in under 48hrs through Sydney bushland.

Together the team organized fundraising events such as an Indian food luncheon and a Valentine's Day poetry competition, and trained day and night for months to be up to the challenge.

By the end of it all the team  raised over $11,000 and walked a very long way. The money raised went toward helping Oxfam Australia, who work in partnership with local communities to overcome poverty and injustice in 26 countries across East Asia, South Asia, Southern Africa, the Pacific and Indigenous Australia. Halcrow MWT were happy to match the money raised by staff dollar for dollar.
